Essepieffe s.r.l. is responsible for the development, production and distribution of labelling systems. In the steel production and processing chain, traceability plays a fundamental role for the optimization of resources and the correct management of the various processing phases. The media used to report the data collected from the production lines have evolved over time, having to respond both to management needs and to regulations that require the unique identification of materials (in the three stages of production, processing and sales). Manual identification (with chalk or varnish) had been replaced by metal plates, that resisted both stress during material handling and high temperatures. However, the critical points remained: the oxidation of the metal support, the difficult readability of the data, the impossibility of inserting barcodes and the long punching times of the plates. The solutions that Essepieffe has proposed for over 20 years overcome these critical issues, as their media are printable with traditional printers (laser and thermal transfer). It is possible to enter extremely readable data, to decide its dimensions, to insert BARCODE - DATA MATRIX and RFID technology. Essepieffe labels can withstand temperatures close to 1000 ºC and have a resistance to mechanical stress comparable to that of a metal plate. The result is a perfectly identified and traceable product even in the most critical conditions. Their coding supports are: weather resistant, chemical resistant, barcode-suitable, high and low temperature resistant, washable and tear resistant.
