To ensure a better future for the city of San Benedetto del Tronto

The Circolo Dei Sambenedettesi is an institute for the preservation of Dialect and Popular Traditions. It is a free, independent and non-partisan Association, created on the initiative of citizens of San Benedetto del Tronto, with the aim of working for the civil and social progress of the city. To achieve this goal, it aims to: defend the natural and environmental characteristics of the city and the municipal territory and safeguard the moral and traditional values of the population; increase existing associative, cultural, sporting, folkloric and philanthropic activities and encourage the emergence of others with the same aims; to stimulate an increasing public interest in the problems of the city in order to collaborate for their best solution. Every year, on a festive day in spring, the anniversary of the foundation of the Circle (February 28, 1971) is celebrated. The Circle lives: with the resolutions approved by the Ordinary and Extraordinary Shareholders' Meetings; with the work of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee; with social contributions and any other income. All Sambenedettesi of birth, adoption, affection can be part of the Circle. Essential requirements are the good moral and civil conduct of those who aspire to become a member and the coming of age (18 years). Members are distinguished in honorary members, that is people with special merits, and ordinary members, all those who apply on special forms prepared by the Circle.
Through the meetings and conferences of the so-called Friday of the Circle and the bi-monthly newspaper LU CAMPANÒ, the Circolo dei Sambenedettesi promotes the development of the city of San Benedetto del Tronto, with several articles covering every aspect of its political, civil, economic, social and cultural life.
